Matt Thomas "40 Under 40" Recognition

Congratulations to Gema's Matt Thomas for being selected in the Products Finishing 40 Under 40 award program, recognizing young professionals in the finishing industry. All of those selected are innovators and trailblazers, striving to be the next generation of leaders in the industry. 

Having been at Gema for just under 2 years, Matt is showing his ability to be a valuable contributor to the Gema organization. Matt joined the company on the heels of the pandemic, however, prior to joining Gema; Matt worked within the logistics and food services industries. While Matt has worked in a variety of roles, including managerial positions, throughout his career, supply chain management and procurement dominate his work experiences. In his current role, Purchasing Specialist, Matt is leading the efforts to purchase and manage incoming materials used in both Gema custom systems and standard products business segments. Matt takes great pride in his work, helping to ensure that customers get the items they order. Considering the supply chain issues that all companies are grappling with since the pandemic, Matt is the point person to manage Gema's chess board and the various moving pieces of incoming and outbound materials.

When not at work, Matt and his wife enjoy walking and biking throughout their local community. Having grown up near the “Racing Capital of the World” -- the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, it is not a surprise that Matt is also an avid Indy Car racing fan.

Congratulations to Matt for his career accomplishments and leadership. We believe that he has the skills, knowledge, and drive to succeed at Gema while providing tremendous value to the powder coating industry.
