Congratulations to Gema's Artie Thomas for being selected in the Products Finishing 40 Under 40 award program, recognizing young professionals in the finishing industry. All of those selected are innovators and trailblazers, striving to be the next generation of leaders in the industry.
Arthur “Artie” Thomas, P.E., has provided tremendous value to the Gema organization and customers. Working at companies like Herff Jones, Toyota, Hurco, and now Gema, he has gathered extensive engineering experience in design and implementation as well as a broad working knowledge of various manufacturing products and processes. Artie’s educational experience includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University at Indianapolis and he is a certified Professional Engineer. Artie has completed a variety of projects throughout his career; and his collaborative work redesigning a lathe product line is high on his list of accomplishments. Working with a colleague, Artie improved cutting and other process movement as well as implemented new tooling and software. The results improved product performance, productivity, and customer satisfaction. As a Gema employee, Artie has become a key contributor providing new ideas and solutions to support Gema customers. On a personal level, Artie keeps his family and faith in focus, as he counts his faith as a key component in his life. Artie helped his brother to start a church and subsequently the organization of a local youth center in the southwest part of Indianapolis.
Congratulations to Artie for his career accomplishments and leadership, but more importantly for his passion and commitment to his family and the families within his community. Gema wishes Artie many years of success and are proud to have him as a member of the Gema team.
