Chris Dubose "40 Under 40" Recognition

Congratulations to Gema's Chris Dubose for being selected in the Products Finishing 40 Under 40 award program, recognizing young professionals in the finishing industry. All of those selected are innovators and trailblazers, striving to be the next generation of leaders in the industry.

Having been at Gema for 5 years, Chris provides tremendous value to our organization and customers.  Although Indianapolis is his current home, Chris made the journey from the warm Southwest to the cold North.  Growing up in Austin, Texas certainly contributed to his affinity for the Texas Longhorns, but his college journey would take him from the heart of Texas, to the beautiful shores of Holland, Michigan where he attended Hope College. While at Hope, Chris earned a Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering degree.

After graduation, Chris started his professional career in the EV market after being hired as a process engineer with LG Chem in Holland, Michigan.  LG Chem is a manufacturer of lithium ion batteries for the electric vehicle market. His primary activities were focused on design improvements, model changeover, and quality defect reduction.  Another key project during his stint with LG Chem was his involvement on the implementation team of a new production line.  Leaving Texas and landing in Michigan certainly allowed Chris to gain tremendous experiences that have been key in his progress as a young professional.

Like many people find, life brings new opportunities, and Chris and his wife moved to Indianapolis as she begin her pursuit of a Law degree.  As such, Chris was welcomed aboard Gema USA Inc. and joined our engineering department. In Chris’ current role, he is involved in design and project management of powder coating systems.  This includes interfacing with end use customers, powder suppliers, systems integration companies, and installation personnel.  His overall powder coating process knowledge has grown significantly since joining Gema, and he continues to gain experience that will help him to be an excellent teacher and speaker about the process of powder coating.

When not at work, Chris and his wife enjoy walking, camping, playing guitar, and video games.  He has also set a goal of learning how to play golf this year.

Congratulations to Chris for his career accomplishments and leadership. We believe that Chris has the skills, knowledge, and drive to succeed at Gema while providing tremendous value to our customers and the powder coating industry.
